A designer's eye, honed in fashion & art
Kristen Nix founded her Austin studio on a simple conviction: that a home should be as practical and enduring as it is beautiful. A University of Texas graduate, she began her career in the fashion department at Vogue in New York and went on to serve as Art Director for Neiman Marcus's publication, The Book, in Dallas — before training under celebrated decorator J. Randall Powers.
That mix of disciplines shaped a signature approach built on balance, scale and simplicity. Clean lines, tailored details and an innate sense of proportion give her work its calm, collected confidence, while quality craftsmanship keeps every room grounded in the way real families live.
The result is understated luxury — spaces that are visually stunning yet genuinely livable, contemporary today and timeless for years to come.
